The Tzolkin calendar is a 260-day calendar used by the Maya that consists of 20 day signs and 13 numbers. It was created over 3,000 years ago as a means to track time in relation to ceremony, farming seasons, and religious events. The Tzolkin’s start date is April 8th or 4 Ahau in the year 3114 BC according to Mayan mythology.

Today at Honey Taco we continue using this ancient calendar as an important tool for spiritual artists who wish to have their work reflect nature’s cosmic rhythms.
